Position General Workers( Street Cleaning/ Stacking Broad/ Lane Flushing corpse junking/ caddy Delivery) Department Operations
Remuneration R 9 531,55.( Basic payment, benefits)
The Purpose
To carry out applicable cleaning and/ or refuse caddy delivery- related tasks. These tasks can include any one or further of Street Cleaning, mounding, Broad, Lane Flushing, corpse junking and/ or caddy Deliveries and other general duties.
Liabilities
Street Cleaning and Broad.
Collect all material and outfit demanded to perform the day’s work
Clean designated area/ thoroughfares using a broom and shovel and place refuse in bags.
Transport refuse bags to pavement using a trolley.
Clean all lockers.
Report all frequentness relating to safety, outfit and injuries to platoon leaders.
Report complains and queries to the platoon leaders.
Begin waste selecting( including pavements) in same area, formerly road has been swept and gutted.
waste pick one side of the road first and also the other side, using applicable tools( bag and trolley); drawing all waste Clean one side at a time – don’t criss- cross thoroughfares.
Liaise with members of the public, service druggies and officers of other departments, icing prompt resolution of complaints and queries.
Draw out the correct number of bags from the store and distribute them consequently.
Get acquainted with the designated area.
Distribute bags to consumers, according to services.
Collect refuse bags and place them on the trolley for mounding do to mounding point and discharge bags; icing bag opening faces the road and bags are piled in prescribed manner.
Clear all spillage when bag breakage occurs.
Mound all refuse bags and remove boxes.
Collect new/ relief lockers from central stores and load them on to the caddy delivery truck.
Check report damaged refuse lockers before leaving central stores.
Make an entry into the caddy delivery register of all the garbage caddy periodical figures.
Discharge new/relief garbage lockers at place of delivery. Collect damaged garbage caddy( s) in exchange for the caddy being delivered and load them onto the delivery truck.
Insure that guests subscribe for the delivery and are issued with a dupe of delivery damage.
Reprise procedure until all refuse lockers listed for delivery are delivered.

Minimum Conditions
✓ Grade 10
✓ Must be physically and mentally fit
✓ No felonious record
✓ Must be South African
✓ Police concurrence
✓ live within City of Johannesburg
Minimum Experience
✓ 12 months applicable or analogous Experience
needed capabilities Knowledge
✓ Knowledge of applicable tools, outfit and procedures
✓ Understanding of applicable legislation; knowledge of applicable company procedures
